Eastern Promise and College Credits

This year, our students will be participating in a program called Eastern Promise through Eastern Oregon University. The program allows our students to take courses here on our campus and get college credit for doing so.  The credits will be recognized by all of Oregon's public, and most private, universities. The credits will only be $10 per credit, which is a huge savings for any student wanting to attend college after high school. At this time, we are offering Biology, Success 101 (a freshman level course), as well as a 5th grade level course that won't be for college credit, but will help them to start exploring careers. We plan to add more, as we are able.  Already, students can receive college credits in most of the core subject areas. Students can take Writing 121 through Fishtrap and Oregon State University, Pre-Calculus and Calculus through the University of Idaho, now Biology through Eastern Oregon University, and many more classes offer community college credits that can be transferred as elective credits to other colleges. We look forward to continuing to offer our students academically challenging coursework that will help to fulfill their future goals.
