JEF Funds 3D Printer!

Thank you to the Joseph Education Foundation (JEF) for funding the purchase of a 3D printer! The printer arrived this last week and the students have enjoyed watching it as we printed test items. The printer will be used in Mrs. Butts and Mrs. Hayes' classes as part of their STEM curriculum. Students will be able to design things in 3D, using Google Sketchup or Autodesk Inventor, and then print those items using the printer.  In order to design their items, the students will use many engineering, math, and science concepts that they are currently being taught. We also hope to make and sell some 3D printed items to the public. The Entrepreneurship class will help to market those items once they are printed. Stop by Mrs. Butts' room anytime to check it out!
