Josephy Center Visit

posted Jan 8, 2014, 11:18 AM by Theresa Stangel
The Joseph Charter School took advantage of a recent art show of Crow’s Shadow Institute prints at the Josephy Center. Students from the High School Art class, as well as students from the first through third grades, ventured through the snowy streets of Joseph to view the show. The show featured art work created by Native American Artists from across the country at the Crow’s Shadow Institute, which is located near Pendleton, Oregon. Lillian Pitt, Rick Bartow, and James Lavador, to name a few, are several notable Oregon Artists who had work in the show. This trip allowed students to view and discuss the art, as well as hear valuable information about art interpretation from Cheryl Coughlin.
