The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service La Grande Field Office in coordination with Joseph Charter School (JCS), received Partners for Fish and Wildlife funding of $5,000 for the JCS -Schoolyard Habitat/Outdoor Classroom Project in 2012. There are several components to this Schoolyard Habitat/Outdoor Classroom Program currently being developed at JCS, including: bluebird habitat monitoring, pollinator garden planting and curriculum, and other habitat enhancement/outdoor learning activities. To read all about these wonderful activities for our students, you can view the grant report below. The report contains many great photos of our students interacting in the outdoor spaces we have on campus. Enjoy!
