On Tuesday, January 24th and Thursday, January 26th Senior Project students were able to practice their professional interview skills in a mock job interview process.  Eight community professionals came to the school and interviewed the students for a fictitious entry level position at their company.  The students had to submit a job application and resume to the interviewer and then were interviewed by the community professional. The mock job interview program has been in place at the school for the last six years, and is part of the Senior Project class. Past students have always expressed how much the process helped them to be a step ahead of their peers in being prepared and professional for real job interviews.

Our 2012 community professionals included the following individuals:

Jolene Cox, Branch Manager, Enterprise branch of Bank of Eastern Oregon
Amy Johnson, Executive Director, Building Healthy Families
Marilyn Dalton, Lead Workforce Development Specialist II, Wallowa County Training and Employment Consortium
Brenda Micka, Human Resources Assistant, Wallowa County Health Care District
Chuck Anderson, retired staff writer, Wallowa County Chieftain
Karen Patton, Assistant Superindendent, Wallowa County Education Service District
Beth Hough, retired Branch Manager, Community Bank
Sue Sudman, retired Bank Executive at a Seattle area bank

This year's students and professionals agreed it was another successful round of interviews!  Several pictures of the interviews are featured in this month's "homepage slideshow."
