The Fitzgerald families of Dublin, Ireland and their friends have gathered at the Captain’s House Inn near Boston for a reunion. Cousin Shauna O’Shea (Haven Johnson) has arranged to entertain the clan with a murder mystery. So begins the Joseph High School’s annual dinner theater at Wallowa Lake Lodge. Written and directed by Thespian Director Pam Latta, with assistance from Richelle Chitwood, this year’s show dates are scheduled earlier in the school year for Friday, November 1st2nd beginning at 6 PM. The cost is $40 per person which includes dinner, beverage, dessert, gratuity, and an $8 donation to the Troupe. The Dinner Theater is the Troupe’s main fundraiser for their trip to the Oregon State Thespian Festival in April, 2014.

Shauna has invited the beautiful and mysterious Valentina Vega (Mireia Victori), a Spanish wine exporter, to the event. The Captain’s Inn employs hotel security guard Fanny McGuire (Addie Kilgore) who, when not protecting the guests, aspires to be a model. Fianna Fitzgerald (Holly Taylor) is the matriarch and mother to sons Fergus (Michael Thomas), Danny (Max Greenway), Colum (Tucker Van Winkle), and Quinn who is nowhere to be found as the event begins. She commands respect and demands attention. Her sister Meara Hogan (Noel Taylor), on the other hand, is quiet, unmarried, loves mysteries, and can quote Hitchcock movies at will. Danny is an internationally popular musician and singer whose public image of the romantic troubadour is directly opposite his true nature. Just ask his flame-haired wife, Fiona (Felicity Gross), who is her husband’s ‘sometimes’ singing partner. Quinn is Danny’s identical twin and owns a local pub in Dublin. He eloped with the beautiful and wealthy Texan Noreen (Mia Whittle) whom he met 7 years ago. They have a daughter Nollaig, who aspires to be an actress. Noreen’s roommate from college and well-known fashion model, Deirdre O’Connell (Johnelle Suto) arrives from New York with sister Teagen (Taylor Grote) in tow planning to party the weekend away.Fianna has ordained from his birth, that Colum should become a priest. Colum is forced to make a decision when he meets the young Caoilainn O’Daniel (Renee Seal), who has wandered in to the Captain’s Inn looking for her class on Irish history. Noreen’s sister Briana Naill (Bailee Wilcox) appears, saying that she is backpacking through the country before attending Stanford Law. She is anxious to see Quinn more than she is her sister. You are in for a night of surprises and Irish humor as guests are given nametags, new identities, and invited to play along with the cast. Those attending are encouraged to wear black clothing or dress in Irish garb. If you are looking for an outfit, check the special rack at Treasures in Enterprise, or make your way to the Soroptimist’s Shoppe or Second Best. Seating is limited and must be purchased in advance by calling the Lodge at 541-432-9821. For those interested in overnight lodging, room, dinner, and theater packages are also available.
