Les Schwab and FFA Team Up
Post date: Feb 6, 2013 6:48:13 PM
Your local Les Schwab and each of the county FFA chapters have teamed up to combat hunger in Wallowa County. During the month of February, the FFA members and Les Schwab will be collecting canned food items that will be donated to the local food bank. You can drop off food items at the Enterprise Les Schwab, or at any of the area high schools. The donation box at Joseph is located just inside the front doors, and across from the main office. If you are able, please bring canned food items to help make their project a success!
Also this month, the FFA members celebrate National FFA week, February 16th-23rd. The National FFA Organization (formerly Future Farmers of America) envisions a future in which all agricultural education students will discover their passion in life and build on that insight to chart the course for their educations, career, and personal future. FFA is a fantastic organization that has helped millions of students, and we have a very active FFA chapter here in Joseph, under direction of Mr. Dave Yost. While the students, of course, make up the current chapter, we also have a very active FFA Alumni chapter as well. To help with their events or to become an Alumni member, please contact Mr. Yost.
