The Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) III class would like to remind everyone that Monday, September24 is National Family Day. Always the last Monday in September, National Family Day is sponsored by the Center on Substance Abuse and Addiction, and is a national movement that informs parents that the engagement fostered during frequent family dinners is an effective tool to help keep America’s kids substance free. Students in the FACS III class have been studying the benefits to children when families regularly eat meal together. They prepared informational packets for elementary students to take home that parents can use to observe National Family Day, and hope all families will make plans to spend Monday, September 24 sharing a meal with their families! Remember, what your kids really want at the dinner table is YOU!
