More Eagles make it to state. Annie Rose Miller not only won't the pole vault with a jump of 10'6", but also set a new JCS school record!! Jenning Sheifelbien placed 2nd in the 400 with a PR of 52.26. Gavin Russell placed 2nd in the javelin with a throw of 147'1". Jett Leavitt won the 1500 with a time of 4:09.23. Jonah Lyman placed 4th with a time of 4:23.65.

Making it to state...so far: Basey Dawson placed 2nd in the high jump with a jump of 4'11". Basey also broke the school record in the triple jump with a jump of 33' 25", qualifying for state. Caleigh Johnson placed 2nd in the javelin with a throw of 107'2". Emmerson Hook placed 4th in the javelin with a distance of 100'6"...🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 for a wildcard. Senior 2024- William Clark A wearer of shorts, regardless of how many feet of snow accumulates outside, William Clark exhibits superhuman powers on a daily basis with his heart, lifting others up with laughter, kindness, and his “make the most of the moment” attitude. You can find him on the golf course yelling “Fore!” shooting six, and writing down five. Next year he will be attending University of Idaho, or not. This fiery hearted young man can always be found at the end of the rainbow, and if you are lucky enough, he’ll share his heart of gold with you.

Senior 2024- Lakotah Steel Compassionate, bright, and truly well rounded, Lakotah Steel is a person of high character, empathetic to others, and very positive. She spends her time mentoring youngsters, competing in sports, and strengthening her academic grit. As much interested in saving the world as sinking a three-pointer, she leaves the students at Joseph Charter with this advice: “Always stay on track. And if you find yourself off-track, make sure to have four-wheel-drive capabilities.” Next year she will attend Lewis-Clark State College and major in nursing.

Senior 2024- Jessup Orr Mathematical wizard and magical essayist, Jessup Orr can jump from branch to branch, twirl, sommersault, and somehow still land on his feet. Swift as a sparrow, sly as a fox, he also holds high scores on multiple gaming platforms and is always up to his ears in ideas. Perhaps it is no wonder that he will pursue an engineering degree at the Oregon Institute of Technology. His parting advice to students is: “Live free and be true to yourself. I don’t know what will happen if you do both, but its better than you not knowing either.”
